Всемирный день борьбы со СПИДом

Здоровье – важнейшая ценность. Качеством здоровья определяется качество жизни. Поэтому вдвойне важно следить за своим самочувствием, регулярно проверяться и вовремя проходить лечение. И тем опаснее болезни, которые проявляют себя не сразу

СПИД – это смертельная болезнь, которая унесла жизни многих людей: из-за стигматизации, отсутствия методов лечения, знаний и необходимых лекарств. Всемирный день борьбы со СПИДом является одним из самых важных международных праздников, направленных на привлечение внимания к вопросам здравоохранения во всем мире. В 2022 году в десятках стран пройдут просветительские акции и памятные мероприятия, посвященные жертвам этой страшной болезни.

Впервые праздник был провозглашён ВОЗ в 1988 году. Начиная с 1996 года организаций этого дня занимается ЮНЭЙДС – программа ООН, направленная на борьбу с ВИЧ и СПИДом.

Цель этого дня и программы борьбы со СПИДом – повышение осведомленности населения планеты о болезни, способах ее распространения, методах предотвращения и возможностях лечения.

Наибольшую опасность болезнь представляет в странах, где нет высокого уровня здравоохранения. Но не менее опасным является отсутствие знаний о болезни и уверенность в том, что «меня то уж точно это не коснется».

Несмотря на то, что болезнь не удается победить, сейчас существует большое количество лекарств, которые могут подавлять инфекцию и переводить больных в стадию ремиссии.

Символом международного дня борьбы со СПИДом является красная ленточка, свернутая определенным образом и символизирующая букву V.
