В соответствии с федеральным законом РФ от 24.11.2009 № 181-ФЗ «О социальной защите инвалидов в Российской Федерации» гражданам, впервые прошедшим освидетельствование в учреждениях медико-социальной экспертизы, то есть получившим инвалидность, необходимо обратиться в отделы социальных прав и гарантий по месту регистрации для предоставления мер социальной поддержки по оплате жилого помещения и коммунальных услуг:
