В рамках программы развития социального туризма сотрудниками ОБУ «ЦСЗН по городу Липецку» была организована поездка в Древне-Успенскую церковь с посещением святого источника для пожилых людей, активистов Дома ветеранов.

Древне-Успенская церковь — один из старейших храмов Липецка. Точная дата постройки неизвестна, но есть источники 1730 г., где храм уже упоминается. Приставка «древне» появилась в названии церкви после 1839 г.

Храм стоит на источнике, где, согласно преданию, было явление иконы Божией Матери «Живоносный источник». Поэтому это место давно считается святым, сюда приезжают больные и страждущие, чтобы напиться целебной воды.

Только в 1996 г. Древне-Успенскую церковь вернули верующим. Силами прихожан Христорождественского собора церковь была полностью восстановлена, сейчас в ней идут богослужения. С 2003 г. Древне-Успенская церковь стала именоваться как Свято-Успенский липецкий мужской епархиальный монастырь. Но большинство липчан называют храм по старинке Успенкой.
